Hamburg, Germany!

Hamburg Germany is a wonderful modern city on the river.I toured the city on a river boat.

Germany really gets into the Holiday season and has amazing Christmas markets.

5 days in Stockholm!

While in Stockholm I visited the Christmas markets.
I went to the Palace and watched the changing of the guard.
And I toured the Vasa Museum. This maritime museum displays a 17th century ship that sunk on its maiden voyage off the shore of Stockholm.

Dublin

I toured the book of Kells at Trinity College. The book of Kells was writted in 800 A.D. and contains the a richly decorated copy of the four gospels in Latin text.

I also toured the Guinness Factory. Guinness tastes much better when it is fresh.

Dublin is a great city. There are at least 5 bars on each block and great shopping.

The crew and I went to the famous Temple Bar to have a pint of Guiness.
Here is the crew and I out for some Indian food.

Copenhagen Denmark

I had a longer than usual overnight in Copenhagen Denmark, so I brought my mom with me to do some Christmas shopping.
Copenhagen has the longest shopping street in Europe.
Hans Christian Anderson the author of The Little Mermaid was born and raised in Copenhagen. So there are mermaids scattered throughout the city to honor their hometown hero.
This row of homes is where Hans Christian Anderson lived. There was a Christmas market going on where they sold food and homemade crafts.
Here is Christmas tree lot.
The coffee shops and bars had warm coals to keep your hands warm.
The royal palace.

Copenhagen is a fun town located on water. People are always outside walking, biking and enjoying the weather on the rare days it is nice.

Cologne Germany

Gutentag from Germany's OLDEST City!
Cologne Germany is a cute German town located on the Rhine River. There are a lot of Bars and restaurants located on the River. This is where I like to go to enjoy Chicken Schnitzel and a Kolsh Beer.
The Colonge Cathedral is a Gothic cathedral located near the Rhine River with twin spires that are 515ft high. And I decided to climb them to check out the view.
A view from the top!

Athens Greece

OPA!

This is a picture of the Acropolis (sacred rock) from the rooftop pool of my hotel. I spent most of my day at the Plaka area of Athens exploring the ruins.
The Acroplis was built as a temple for worship in 438 BC. It took 15 years to complete. I climbed up the hill to tour the Acropolis up close.
Here is a view looking down from the Acropolis onto the Temple of Athena.
The churches in Greece are tiny. This particular church is built on the original ground the city has been rebuilt up around it on top of ruins after ruins.
More Ruins...
This is where we ate dinner at the very top of these stairs on the roof top of the restaurant. It was a great view!
