Brussels at Christmas!

Last December I went to Brussels Belgium!
In the middle of town they had an ice skating rink, rides, food and shopping.
This is one of the main shopping streets where you can find the beautiful Belgium lace.
The town plaza had a big Christmas tree and a live manger!
My favorite flight attendant and roomate in Newark worked this trip with me!
Whenever I am in Brussels I always have a Belgium waffle. The waffles never taste better than they do in Belgium!
Diane drinking the Christmas wine!
Christmas time in Europe is so much fun!

Bristol England

BRISTOL ENGLAND

The last time I went to Bristol England, I took a 20 minute train ride to Bath England. You may have heard of Bath because that is where the ancient Roman Baths are.
The Roman Bath resembled a spa, where people would go daily for exercise and personal hygiene.

Berlin Germany

Guten Tag!
Brandenburg Gate
The day I was in Berlin it was the anniversary of the wall coming down.
Parts of the wall are still up, where they took the wall down they placed brick in the ground to remember the exact location of the wall.
This is the Holocaust Memorial, which looked like nameless tomb stones of all different sizes.
This is where Check Point Charlie is located.

Here is a museum on the differences of the East and West side.

This is where the historical book burning took place in 1933. The German students burned books that they felt where Un-German.
Recognize this Hotel? Maybe you would if Micheal Jackson was dangling his baby outside the window.
This is my friend Thea. She grew up in Berlin on the East side. Thea was a foreign exchange student at my high school and my tennis partner. It's fun to catch up with Thea when I visit Berlin! Auf Wiedersehen!

Barcelona!

Barcelona

Barcelona is a huge city with a lot to do and see.

The city has a famous architect named Antonio Gaudi who makes the buildings, churches and parks very interesting to look at. Here are some of his designs.
This church called the SAGRADA FAMÍLIA or the Sacred Family Church was also designed by Gaudi. They started building it in 1882 and it won't be finished for another 30 years. It is incredible!

Barcelona has many great marina's and beaches on the Mediterranean Sea.
I can't wait to go back to Barcelona to tour the many wonderful museums and eat the tasty tapas!

Amsterdam!

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is know for its tulips. The most beautiful tulips in the world. They sell tulip bulbs throughout the city.

I toured Anne Frank's House. I read the Diary of Anne Frank right before the trip, I couldn't believe how the House was exactly the same as described in the book.

Walking the streets in Amsterdam (with my Captain).

The City of Love

PARIS

I have been to Paris many times, and I never run out of things to see there.
It is my favorite European City.

Here is a picture of Nortre Dame where I attended a church service.
I toured the Louvre where I saw many famous paintings like the Mona Lisa.
We ate French dishes like Es-cargo and local cheeses.
My flight attendant friend and I climbed the Eiffel Tour. This is a sunset view from the top!
This is where Princess Diana had her fatal car crash. People still leave flowers and messages to the Peoples Princess.
I toured the Sacred Heart Church and neighborhood.
Here is a local vineyard I found in the city of Paris.
I still have a lot to do and see in Paris. I love the city and can't wait to go back!

The Cutest Town!

STRATFORD UPON AVON

When I arrived in Stratford Upon Avon, England it felt like I was in a fairy tail. It is located near Birmingham England, and along the drive I saw rolling green hills, lambs wondering in them with castles in the background. It was breath taking! You may remember hearing about Stratford Upon Avon in school when we learned about Shakespeare. It is William Shakespeare's hometown! It is located on the Avon River, which is full of Swans. In Stratford I toured Shakespeares home, it was hard to believe I was in the room William was born in. They didn't tell us in school he was rich!
Me in a phone Booth, which are located all over England.

This is the bar where the crews like to hang out. It is called the Dirty Duck. The rumor is that pilots have been hanging out here for centuries. There are flowers everywhere in Stratford Upon Avon. Here I am standing in front of William Shakespeare's family home.

This ancient church is where the Shakespeare family is buried it is a beautiful setting over looking the Avon River.
